Pretty Til Dawn is as a one-woman operation concept since 2009. Founder Dawn Mitchell had a NJ/NY modeling agency and preteen confidence program within middle schools for over 5 years. She and her mother managed a model agency and a franchise. Dawn also modeled and is proud of her two creative adult children.
From the beginning, Dawn knew she needed to always educate; whether its with teens, about wellness habits or consulting CEO’s on selfcare, brand and image, executive makeup and beyond makeup.
Pretty Til Dawn is a business that will donate 10% of proceeds to educate minority breast cancer patents about many resources they wouldn’t know about unless they asked.
Right on the cusp of her 50th birthday, Dawn was diagnosed with breast cancer, and with little time to spare doctors recommendea bilateral mastectomy.
After battling Covid19 from 2019 to January of 2020, Dawn wasn’t sure how to share her story, she stated, “I personally didn’t think I had one. It was of my closest friends who helped me visualize what I was goin through and how I could educate and bring awareness to the side affects, unexpected and mental battles of Breast Cancer.”
Positive vibes, practicing selfcare beauty and wellness rituals has proven to help her as a breast cancer survivor of trauma. Friends, family, coworkers and the Breast Cancer (BC) Pretties are pillars of strength for Dawn.
Emotional Wellness and moving beyond makeup were the only choices I had as I emerged from a breast cancer warrior into a breast cancer survivor.
